Earth Bending is a sealed slot system ability thing that is not always on and the character will need to declare if they are using it to detect people or animals in the vicinity. ALish: 1/2 Power + Bending skill, + any elemental bonus or other bonuses

History:
Alish Tar was born and raised in the Earth Kingdom mainly, and followed up Korra as the new Avatar, under the Earth element. He is young and likes adventure, but he also is stubborn and determined to do things the ‘right’ way. He wants to make big changes to help people and nature get along better and it’s appreciated by many but not by all, including Ba Sing Se’s Dai Li order, which has once again fallen to corruption and uses the King as a puppet figure. Alish is a young teenager and well, has a mouth. It’s a common Earth Bender problem, but when you are a training Avatar, it might not be the best thing to just speak your mind so ‘concisely’. The Dai Li found out about him being the Avatar well before he knew, based on the Avatar test, and they attempted to mold him to fit into their paradigm and control him. It was their chance to emerge as a power again, after a former Avatar and group ruined that for them, and this was a great way to get revenge and power...use the current Avatar while he was naive.
However, Alish found out about the manipulations and that the kindness he was receiving wasn’t just because his parents died and the Dai Li were caring about him in any way. He also investigated and stumbled onto their plot to use the young new King as well, and uncovered detailed enough plans on himself while doing so. Angry, he burst in on them and told them to basically knock it off or else he was gonna get mad. They agreed to it and told him they would even help him get the training he needed to become a powerful Avatar, even bowing before him. Of course, though, they were deceptive and he was 13 when that happened. He went off to learn Earth Bending from Badger Moles and a solid teacher in the arena fighting circuit, for two years. Since he was back and forth to Ba Sing Se, the Dai Li looked like they were sticking to their word, but in reality, they concocted a means to get rid of the Avatar, who was eventually going to get in their way again…
Flaws:
1. Invoking the Avatar State allows an Avatar to call back on former knowledges and powers of other Avatars before, and they are at their most powerful -but- if killed in Avatar State, the Avatar may wipe out the whole line and there may not be another Avatar. Considering the character’s age and lack of knowledge of things, it may be invoked only when the character feels a lot of rage or fear, worry for his own life or companions’, in dire circumstances. He has little to no control when in this state as he is untrained.
2. If his hands and feet are bound tightly, he cannot bend.
3. -1 to rolls having to do with High Tech Worlds/scenarios and polluted worlds.
4. When in the spirit realms/astral plane, Alish cannot use Bending, but may rely on his spirit abilities/connections instead, unless otherwise stated.
Special Traits:
Alish is the Avatar of the world he comes from and thus someday might just master all the elements and help keep peace for people and provide justice to those who are wronged. He’s also connected to the spirit world and animals tend to like him quite a bit. Avatars are often called ‘bridges’ between the spirit world and the material world.
Alish's pole arm - Chinese Qiang Spear - It can be used to cause blunt, slashing or skewering damage. Most of the time, he uses it for blunt damage when it comes to living beings. The 'red' distraction piece is a burnt yellow, however, connecting to the Earth Kingdom colors.
